A membership in the German Society for Computer and Robot-Assisted Surgery e. V. (CURAC) has numerous advantages.
The society promotes the exchange of ideas and experiences between German scientists of computer- and robot-assisted surgery among themselves and with foreign colleagues as well as the personal relationships between them.
It is possible to work on common research directions. These will be redefined at each CURAC Annual Meeting.
Collaborative research interest can lead to a bundled work and thus to faster and more comprehensive results. Another advantage is the sharing of instruments, materials, robots, and resources or, for example, the clinical support of other institutes. Discussions on results and exchange of experiences are offered.
In addition, the mentoring concept is practiced. There is the opportunity within CURAC to find a mentor who will be available as a contact person during difficult research phases, who will provide impetus in new directions and who will support scientific work.
Each member can join the CURAC working groups. However, it is also possible to be a mentor for the research of other members.
